Much of the praise he’s received in his Oklahoma City tenure springs from outside the box score. George is an elite cutter and a dangerous lob threat. He’s a quality spot-up shooter from beyond the arc. Defensively, George had a case to be on the All-Defensive team last year, finishing second in the league in steals. Yet for all of his peripheral strengths, George’s sheer scoring ability has been overlooked.”

Jonathan Lehman (New York Post) looking at Paul George’s masterpiece from the other side of the fence: “He’s a high-caliber basketball player,” Nets guard Allen Crabbe said. “You can’t let somebody get hot like that, especially the way the game was changing, too. They had all the momentum so everybody was fired up. … For a guy like that, I’m pretty sure it only takes one or two baskets to go in before he starts feeling like the rim is really big. Everything that he started shooting was going in.”

In the fourth-quarter flurry, he hustled for offensive rebounds.
