Daily Thunder Rumblings – 14 August 2017

img_4133-5The schedule should be released this week. Then I can finally organize my life. Here are the Rumblings.

HoopsHype.com previews the Thunder in their season preview series: “Russell Westbrook will be an MVP candidate again next season … He can will a team to the playoffs, as proved by his performance in 2016-17 … His incredible stats could translate even better to wins with a great sidekick like Paul George … It’s a super athletic bunch that should once again score a lot of points in transition … No one will be surprised if they lead the league in rebounds for the fourth year in a row”

Paul George is the only Thunder player to have his 2K rating released, and that is starting to worry some people: “It’s interesting that the third-most watched team in the league last season has been fairly silent in 2K’s gradual ranking release. Especially when the MVP is on the Thunder AND they had arguably the best offseason of any franchise. I’ll put it this way: the Phoenix Suns have three players and the Brooklyn Nets have two players who have been released.”

Russell and Noah getting their SnapChat groove on. (And shoutout to Russell for rockin’ the Wu-Tang Shirt).

Paul George was spotted wearing some Nike PG1’s with the Thunder-inspired colorway.

Enes Kanter responds to the protests in Charlottesville, Va in the only way he knows how: “The demonstration has erupted into violence, prompting a state of emergency to be declared in Charlottesville. Kanter’s tweet referenced protesters carrying torches as they marched Friday night on the University of Virginia’s campus. Kanter is a Turkish national who has publicly embraced the United States in recent months.”
