Kameron Duncan (NBA Analysis Network) looks at three possible trades the Thunder could make: “Despite their additions, the Thunder are missing key components that can take them to the next level. At this early portion of the season, the team ranks near the bottom of the NBA in three point attempts, field goals and percentage. As we’ve seen over the last several years, outside shooting has become paramount for success in the current NBA. The Thunder have talented players, and are a formidable opponent (especially when fully healthy), but lack of shooting could be an Achilles heel in the long run.”

Jenni Carlson (NewsOK) ranks all the Thunder’s alternate jerseys: “The blue jersey featured an old-timey, script-looking Thunder running uphill across the front of the jersey. All the lettering and number was white. It was crisp and clean. It was second only to the sunset jerseys until Nike came along.”

Erik Horne (NewsOK) recaps the Thunder victory against the Knicks: “The physical battles between Adams and Kanter weren’t hateful. During the National Anthem, the two former teammates smiled at each other from across the court. After the game, Adams said he was trying to get Kanter out of the game because he’s such a “bloody good player.”

Nick Gallo (OKCThunder.com) recaps the night that was for the Thunder: “The pathway to the rim was carved by a relentless commitment to stay with what was working on offense – namely in the pick and roll. Dennis Schröder got downhill for floaters, but also found Steven Adams after the Kiwi big man set screens and quickly slipped into the paint to receive passes or draw defenders. Schröder, who finished with 12 of the Thunder’s 32 assists, easily made the right reads to get teammates involved as the Thunder’s offense hummed with 53.7 percent shooting, including a 16-of-33 mark from the three-point line and 64 points in the paint.”

Everyone is saying this is a Shaqtin’ A Fool candidate. But I think Hamidou Diallo was so inspired by the Paul George to Jerami Grant off the backboard pass for a dunk from the Phoenix game, that he tried to recreate it with Abdel Nader. And while it wasn’t as pretty, it still resulted in two points. So, it should have been an assist for Diallo, not a missed dunk. (insert winky face) By the way, helluva shot by Nader.
